I moved here 5 months ago from Lebanon and trust me this manakish taste just like the ones we have in Lebanon. Sammy's is literally the best Bakery in Houston. I highly recommend it. It is super clean and everything is baked fresh in front of you.

I was visiting Houston from out of state and decided to try Sammy’s Lebanese Kitchen & Bakery. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Since I was dining alone, they went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and even put together smaller portions so I could enjoy a variety of my favorite dishes. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and genuine. It felt like they truly cared about making my experience special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a great meal. I left feeling completely satisfied, not just with the food but with the hospitality and kindness of the staff. If you’re in Houston, this is a must-visit spot. I’ll definitely be coming back on my next trip!

This place is a gem. I had always enjoyed eating at Abdallah's (the previous restaurant in this space), and I am happy to say that this restaurant is even better. Abdallah was well-known for their pita bread, and I think I like Sammy's better. It was served to us piping hot straight from the oven, and the bread is less chewy (less gluten maybe) with a softer consistency. It was perfect for scooping up their hummus and tabouli. I ordered the lamb kabob plate, while my buddy had the lamb shank. The lamb kabob was perfectly cooked at medium rare with good flavor, while the lamb shank was fall off the bone tender. The server and waitress were very kind in explaining their menu and making sure we have everything we want. The waitress even gave us complimentary pieces of their Namoura (honey cake with almond), which were delicious. I also like how they redecorated the space. It is much brighter inside with new furniture and updated equipment. In my opinion, it is way more inviting than it used to be. This is a local business well worth supporting, and I hope they do good business at this spot for many years just like Abdallah's did.
